There is a local guy selling a HK P30 40 cal with 3 mags and 50 rounds for $675, do you think that's a deal? I was looking to pick a new Gen 4 G23 FDE up from my dealer for $582 plus fees then i saw this. Opinions please.

That seems like a decent price, especially with the extra magazine and ammo.  I paid $790 NIB for mine back in 2010.

Cheapest dealer price I saw was $725 from CDNN in one of their email flyers...

FIL bought one for $799 on gunbroker with free shipping a week ago.

Tell him you have $650, if he says yes then do it, if no then do it anyways.

You've been cool so far, don't go all 13'er on us now. Yes, fo at that price and don't look back. Save up and buy FDE G23 when the funds permit, enjoy being an HK owner in the meantime.

You'll forget all about that Glock once you get the P30 in your hand.  You're only problem now is that once you own one Hk, you want to own every Hk, so you're wallet will hate you and your significant other will be pissed!

I have a P30S V3 9mm

After shooting just 4 boxes of  lawman 147gr ball I was glad to see it all gone.

This is my first LW polymer pistol  and I don't like the recoil at all when shooting 9mm 147gr.

I carry a Sig P229 in 40S&W and only shoot 180gr loads .

I find my P229-180gr softer shooting than my P30S 9mm 147gr.

I don't know if I would take a  P30 in 40cal..

I'm getting older and have problems with my middle finger knuckle that sits under the trigger guard. its swore 24/7

What the sad part is ? The only reason I bought the P30S 9mm was because I wanted less recoil than my P229/180 LOL!

Right now I find the standard pressure 124gr pleasant to shoot.( HST 124)  and equal to my P229/180 in terms of felt recoil.

I think for now one I will stick with softer shooting pistols like the MK25,M9A1 and  lets see my ole 5906 38oz  was real easy to shoot as well when using +P or +P+ / 147gr

That shows the oddly subjective feel of recoil in handguns  over 380 caliber and under 357 magnum.

I found that i shoot even the tank like Berettas in 40 cal slower than my 45acp 1911.
The short, sharpness of the recoil impulse is,...odd and slows me down.
On the flip side, even my P2000sk is fun for me with 9mm 147grain bullets.
