MY question is, do you the barrel will need replacing anytime soon? I'm going to buy new recoil springs and new mag springs for my fathers 9 as well as my 40, is the un-captured recoil spring for the 1993 usp's the same? I plan on shooting it a lot, tonight being her first trip to the range. Few hundred rounds a month if work keeps up. AND yes, my father is awesome. I had to force him to take $200 after a lot of arguing. He's a good guy. |

Well needless to say I had him scoop it up for me. My first gun/carry gun a few months ago was a gen 4 g27 (40cal) so naturally I was excited to add a full size 40 to my "collection". But to my dismay shes marked KD (1993!) is this an issue? The things only 4 years younger then me! I cant believe how awesome it looks for its age. I took her down and cleaned/inspected her, besides the top of the barrel chamber being a little shiny she looks mint. Not to mention the serial number is xx-666x

If the gun is in good shape it probably has not seen much mileage. I have approximately 25k through one of mine and it still holds 2" groups at 25 yards. I'm not sure about the recoil spring - you may call HK customer service and ask them that question... or try hkpro.com |
