My USP .45 was the first pistol I'd ever bought, and it was around when they first came out, so way cheaper than they run for currently. I've only had 10 round mags for it, since at the time that's all that was legal in my state, so never pursued the 12 round "pre-ban" ones that cost $100 a piece (at the time). Anyway, I love the gun and the only issues I've had with it are that it loves full power factory ammo, even the aluminum cased stuff. The things it does not like are reloaded ammo, which I have tried from time to time from multiple sources, and it fails to lock the slide fully forward into battery the majority of the time. Only with reloads.

Mine hates Tula - other steel cased stuff loads just fine, but something about the Tula stuff doesn't work well with it. Same problem –– the slide doesn't go all the way into battery. However, anything else is 100% reliable.

Picked one of the last few from CDNN.

overall it's in good shape, some holster ware here and there but very good overall, functions great so far. Night sights are still bright as hell, so I think $500 was a bargain. I also wonder if the grip was replaced at some point? feels brand new. There is no ware on it anywhere.

put a 100rds through it today and ran flawlessly and was more accurate than any of my other pistols.

I have one on order from CDNN (Good to Very Good) for $499., should be here by Tuesday. I'm Not too concerned about outward appearance, I will just have the slide Cerakoted if she's a ugly bitch... Where would one source a couple 12 round mags?
