Colt 1903 with new blueing. Previously, it only had about 2% blueing left. It will be shot regularly at the range. The grips have been replaced also.

Both 1903's together. One on right has a high polish blue but both look the same in the photo.

That blue is so deep one could drown in it.

Beautiful.

I was gifted an old beater and didn’t want to sink money into it so I just threw some cerakote at it.
Blasphemy, I know.

Just got this tonight. Needs some cosmetic work, but not bad to be over 100 years old. Will do a deep cleaning and probably replace the springs to start.

Two Colts made 100 years apart.

Bottom one has a Remington Rand slide but frame is 1919 Colt. A1 frame scallops were added during a Korean War era USMC rebuild.

Funny, I would have thought inertia would have moved the FO rod to the front, not to the rear.
Maybe the side returning to battery caused it.
Oh, well.

It was gravity before I noticed its previous owner had only heat flared one end of it. It's since been rectified.

Terrific looking gun, exactly what I would want.

How long did it take and if you don’t mind how painful was the price?

Sent it to them last August. They told me 9 moths but called me December 23rd to tell me it was ready. The Colt Hawk package is $2600.00 You supply the gun.
