Thank You.  The Commander is a TALO commissioned Colt Royal Combat Commander.  It's basically a Royal Blue finished Combat Commander with a 3-hole trigger, 1991 model sights, special stocks, Gold Cup serrated front-strap and jeweled Hammer and Grip Safety.  It's a stunning looking pistol and shoots like a dream.  Unlike some of my other Colts, this Combat Commander is tight and rock solid.  400 were produced in 2008-2009.  They do pop up for sale every now and then, but they don't last long and after handling and firing this puppy, I think I know why.

Here's a few more pics of the Royal Combat Commander:

Not a good picture. But works for this purpose.

My workhorse Colt Stainless Series 80 Government Model. More often than not, it serves as my primary home defense piece.

It's pretty old. The base 1911 is a Colt Lightweight Commander.

My 1991A1 with 1-113th CAV commemorative engravings.  Just ordered a different hammer, more comfortable mainspring housing, and colt rubber wraparound grips.  Hopefully next up are some decent night sights. (Have to get the okay from the wife before I can get anything else ).

Thanks!

If I could only have one pistol, this 'un would be it.

Use Permatex Anti-Seize lubricant, the silver stuff that they make for brake caliper pins and threaded applications, on your frame and slide rails, and your Rail Gun will run like a cat with turpentine on its ass. That brake parts lube stays put, too, and will not evaporate or dry out. I apply it with a tiny artist's paintbrush, which picks up just enough to run all the way down the inside of the slide rails without making a big sloppy mess.

I use it on all the bearing and cam surfaces on my guns, and it works like a champ.
