Noticed on Gun Broker a few new production mustangs with blackened slides but I do not find the same gun on Colt's website. I'm wondering if it came from the factory this way or is it an after market job? I am not talking about the polymer version but the stainless and alloy version. Thanks.

I've seen some new Mustangs listed on Bud's in two-tone with a black IonBond slide. To be honest, Colt releases a lot of limited run editions without much advertisement at all. If a distributor wants a gun with specific features, Colt will oblige so long as it's worth their time to do a production run.

Check the model number and do a google search of it. I bet it's a distributor special.
