Last year, Colt did a small run (I've heard 100 to 130) of Government length Rail Guns. They were black-nitrided stainless steel, with 100% tool-steel parts, 20 LPI checkering done by Pete Single, and a flush-cut and reverse-crowned NM barrel, EGW bushing and recoil spring plug, and Novak thumb safety and sights, all full Custom Shop builds with archive paperwork and test target. I was able to snag one before all the reasonably-priced ones sold. Google the model number "O1070rgz" if you want to see the full spec sheet.
Well, it looks like Colt just released a Commander version of the same pistol.
Bud's has the model listed on their website if anybody's interested. There's also one listed on GunBroker for about $250 more the last time that I checked. I already reserved one to go with my Government-length RGZ.
No relation with either Colt or Bud's. I'm just a big fan of these models and wanted to give fellow ARFCOMers a chance to get one while they last.
