Seems like a hell of a deal! I just bought a 70 repro and was going to have Novak sights installed. The clap would end up costing the same as the base repro and sight work; only with free match barrel, free Metal work, free flat MS housing, and free commander hammer.

Will regular VZ grips fit the Clapp Govt. Those factory grips are butt ugly and must be replaced IMHO?

I don't see why VZs wouldn't fit.

Any government model grips will fit.

All it is is a Series 70 with a couple upgrades.

Wiley Clapps use slim grip bushings so bear that in mind when ordering replacement grips.

I have no idea what any of that stuff has to do with standard grips being able to fit the gun.

Standard grip panels will NOT fit on the WC. You will need to order SLIM grips for the WC, or swap out the SLIM bushings for standard height bushings.
