Just picked up a new 1991 Colt Commander in stainless.  I changed the trigger to short smooth Cylinder & Slide one and swapped in Raasco Dymonwood grips.  120 rounds down range with no malfunctions.

Is that beavertail standard on those or did you have it added?

How's the safety on that gun? I've had to send back two in a row for overtravel that would pinch the crap out of you when shooting.

That is the standard grip safety.  I haven't had any problems with it.  It's my first upswept one.  All my other 1911's had GI grip safety.

got one when they first came out.

ORM,parked with old style colt grip safety.

used it as a base for a full custom.

like that look of SS.
