I've always been a Smith Wesson revolver fan but Saturday I was at my local gun shop when my friend there said want a Trooper? I said not really but what the heck. I ask how much and he said $350 so I said I'll take it. I thought I would just buy it and give it to my son or chuck it in a drawer. He gave me the gun and on the way hoem I took a good look at it. It was 98-99% no ring on the cylinder and a fiant bit of holster ware on the muzel. (Have to look hard to see even that. Bore was perfect and I wiped it down with oil and noticed the cylinder face showed no trace of being fired. The Serial number was L56XXX and I think from what I could find it was made in 77. The more I fondeled it the more I liked it. Poor Man's Python so to speak. Even the grips show no ware to speak of. Now I want another one.
