I paid $799 + tax for her at Cabela's. Made in 1981. What do you think?

Very nice.

That is a beauty! Good price too, less than one of the new retro Series 70s.

What Cabela's? Every Cabela's I go to seems like they are high retail on their gun prices. You got a screaming deal on that gun. I paid $800 for a mint one back in 1995 and thought it was a good deal then.

Cabela's in Allen, TX. I thought I'd try my luck at the Ft Worth Cabela's today and of course everything was say overpriced. They wanted $3,000 for a 1911 Commercial Government model with lots of finish wear. I passed.

Beautiful and what a score.
Looking for my first .45. Satin nickel Colt Combat Commander serial # 70SC85412 sold at a gun show in Louisville KY sometime in 1985.

That's an amazing deal! Was it at their used counter? I'm surprised you had a chance to snatch that up. Good deal!
