THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT So she told me to look for something else. So I think I found it. Now I want to get other opinions and see what the Arfcom Hive thinks.

Okay I'm curious as to why are people picking the New Agent. One thing that bothers me about the New Agent is the sights. Where the hell are the sights? Are trench sights any good?

They work for distances encountered in typical CCW situations. Dinner plate sized groups are lethal groups at that distance. One of the distributors, maybe Talo/Lipseye's did a run of New Agents with real sights. Not sure what they used for them. Probably the ones on the Defender. But I'm guessing and too lazy to look up specifics. The Clapp is a nice gun. I'd go that way. Not likely a big difference once you get a good holster for it. 3" 1911's are for devotees of the platform. The Commanders are much more accessible IMO. It's probably #2 on my 1911 shopping list. |

The New Agent would be great for up close and personal, though I prefer the Commander.
Nice avatar BTW. One of my top ten favorite westerns. |

I have a New Agent, the trench sights arent too bad. They take some getting use to and until I did, I had a tendency to shoot about 4 inches high at 10 yards. I changed out the short grip bushings and installed a Crimson Trace front activated laser grip. It suits me well for concealed carry here in Florida. I wear mostly shorts and tee shirts 10 months out of the year. The Colt replaced a G-26 for my primary carry.
