My PPQ M2 has  play between the frame and slide is this the norm?

I have read some sporadic posts about this, here and at the Walther Forum.

The important thing is, how does it shoot?

Mine has a good bit of frame/slide play. It's still fantastically accurate and reliable. Don't sweat it - if it shoots well that's all that matters.

As long as the barrel lockup is tight, slide to frame movement means nothing. Frankly, my old '94 P229 rattles like a SOB but shoots perfect. It also has less rail wear than my father's '98 P229, and mine has thousands of rounds down it, where my dads old pistol has maybe 250 (and that may be generous).

Mine has just a little bit of play/rattle.  Have not seen any adversities.

My M1s have play until a round is in the chamber and then no play at all.

Mine has a little play, but shoots like a dream and is dead on accurate. No more or less play than most of my major brand semi-autos.

My wife has an M2, there is almost zero play in the rear and quite a bit near the muzzle, but it shoots great and it doesn't bother us at all.

My G19 has a bit of wobble too, just not quite as much.

My M1 has a very small amount of wiggle, that goes way once a loaded magazine is inserted and is applying pressure to the slide.
