This gun has only had about 6 or 700 rounds through it and I haven't really had a issue with it except for some shitty Aguila ammo one time. I am shooting remington umc 115 grain FMJ through it. I was down to my last 100 rounds and it only held open twice. What could be causing it not to hold open?

You absolutely sure you aren't accidentally touching the slide release lever? Its huge on those things.

I bet you are accidentally touching the slide release lever.

The one issue I had with my PPQ and a VP9 is the extended slide stop location. I would inadvertently hold it down when firing causing it to intermittently not lock open.

Hmm, that could be it. Next time I shoot I'll make sure I'm not on it and  see if that was the problem.
