My P22 can't fire 3 round without an FTE and they blame ammo. I tried 4 different types

They just try anything to put me off. Anyone had a similar experience?

Some p22s are just lemons, but assuming yours is GTG like mine, it is most likely ammo related.
The only ammo that works consistently is Remington gold bullets or any CCI high velocity ammo.

Other brands of ammo have feeding and cycling issues due to a lack of power.

There are two simple modifications you can make, to help reliability.

1. Reduce the hammer drag

2. Smooth the trigger bar ears, if yours are sharp.

Here is a link to help with your problems.

My good friend has the same issues with his and if he runs high quality 22LR it does ok CCI almost always works but cheap jacketed 22LR where the rounds look like trash it will choke consistently.

For what it is worth my MKIII Ruger will chock on cheap trashy 22LR but CCI or none jacketed 22LR does perfect.

Mine only ran on cheap remington and stingers when it was new. At about the 2k rd mark I started trying different kinds with better results. Now at over 5k it eats everything. Too bad it's falling apart, it's a fun gun to shoot.
