So earlier today when I was testing functionality after cleaning my P22 I noticed something a bit disturbing.  If I have the firearm set to safe, and release the hammer, it flips to fire.  Sometimes it will toggle to between the safe and fire positions, but most of the time it just pops to fire.  Has anyone else seen this behavior before, and if so, any ideas on how to fix it?  It looks like the safety hold is dependent on a small bearing under the safety switch on either side of the slide holding into 2 indent positions.  I have tightened the screws holding the selector, but still no go.
