Does anyone know if Walther has plans to make a compact or sub compact PPQ?  Who would be interested in a compact or sub compact version of the PPQ?

Yeah. It's the PPS.

I was wondering the same thing. I just bought a PPQ M2 with the 5 inch barrel and it's now my favorite handgun. I would love to see a Glock 26 sized PPQ.

I would buy several as long as they have the paddle style magazine release.

I doubt they will.

This has been discussed at the Walther Forum many times.

One, they already have the PPS.

Two, Walther considers the PPQ to be aimed at the "sport shooting" market.

Three, the P99c AS already fills this bill for Walther.

I know they have the PPS and the P99C, but it's so easy to make a derivative of the PPQ - cut down the grip, barrel and slide = voila.

I know I'm making it seem easier than it is, but for all of us who only have PPQs, it would be great to have mag comparability and such.

The PPS is nowhere near the same as the PPQ in many aspects and the P99c AS is almost a non-existent pistol that the folks at Walther keep saying is going to be shipping soon.

I doubt that Walther will come out with a PPQ compact anytime soon. They can't keep up with much of what they already produce including spare parts.

It does seem interesting that Walther somehow has the time to develop new designs like the CCP though. Great business plan!

I figure HK will come out with a compact VP9 first.

Yeah, right about the time Glock starts to understand ergonomics.

I don't count the CCP amongst Walther's more serious offerings.

It's an entry level pistol, aimed at new shooters, and manufactured by the air gun/replica gun, side of the company.
