WelL I finally got to see a usefull purpose to the safety strap this week end, had a large family Party ..stayed 2 nights...CC my PPS to and from the cottage but because off all the swimming and kayaking it stayed in my luggage.....I could of locked it in my car but that was at the top of a hill and too faraway for my comfort level. So pulled the pin removed the strap and it's a paper weight. This gave me great piece of mind knowing wandering fingers of one of the young kids couldn't cause an incident.

Locking it up in the cottage wasnt an option because it's all open....next time now knowing the layout I'd opt for bringing a pistol case that I can lock....just because I may know the weapon is unfireable...but that doesn't mean others do..I'd like to avoid that elevated moment.
Well anyways I thought I'd relate a time the safety strap was usefull, because more often then not, it seems pretty useless, I know I could of just unloaded the pistol and hid the mag and ammunition...but this way I felt safe and it was quick to make ready if needed.
