I need to put some loctite on the screw that holds the cylinder release button on the frame of my model 85.  Can I remove this screw without any parts inside the frame falling off.  Thanks for the help

Yes........if you don't remove the side plate nothing should "shift" or move.

I'd try blue Loctite 242 first, it's medium strength.  If the blue fails to hold you could try Red but I doubt you'll need it.

Is the hole stripped or the screw?  If it's the screw call Taurus for a replacement.  Otherwise you're stuck with thread locker.

I doubt the screw is stripped as the revolver only has around 40 rounds on it.  I'll try the loctite first and see how it goes.  Thanks to those that have helped.
