The battered Century import Taurus revolver I got has a bit different mainspring setup than I've seen it Taurus revolvers before.

This revolver has coilspring lockwork..frame mounted firingpin..rack and pinion hammer-block...However the hammerspring cups into a screw adjustable base that has the screw where a S&W strain-screw would be located

Works essentially like a strain screw only you can screw it too far and lockup the revolver!

Just how do you know how to adjust an older Taurus strain screw to set the hammerspring tension?
