I'm looking at the G2 line from Taurus but haven't seen any feedback. More specifically looking at one of the compact .45 models. I'm digging that 12 round capacity mag model.

I already own a PT145. I like the decocker(striker too) of the newer models. This is where the double action trigger comes in handy.

Bump in case somebody missed it the first time. Surely someone's heard something!

Guess I can reply to my own thread.

We finally got one of the 24/7 G2s in where I work(part time)...Academy Sports. It was a 9 mm model with SS slide. Upon handling the firearm right out of the box the first thing I noticed was I couldn't get Single Action mode to work. DA seemed to work fine. Upon closer examination it appears the gun is "decocking" itself as the slide goes forward. The rear of the slide has a Striker Indicator similar to the XD line but a little more obvious. No matter what I tried the striker would not stay cocked. The gun will be sent back to Taurus for repair but DOA is not looking so good.

I have an OSS, it also has the decocker. It works fine for me.

The gun did stovepipe about once per mag for the first 400-500 rounds, its been reliable for the last 1,000 rounds. I really like the pistol, I carry it sometimes, even though its huge.

I thought mine was doing the same thing but someone told me that it decocks itself when you rack it but not when you shoot it. I haven't taken it to the range to test the theory but it could be possible.

I have both the gen 1 and g2. I like the older one better.
