My eyesight is going to shit as I age. Tritium doesn't do shit in low light or indoors. Fiber glows. I find it hard to get a good sight picture at indoor ranges unless I stand directly under a light. Fiber solves this problem.
Shooting trap at night is greatly improved with a fiber optic front sight.
All of these situations are not dark enough for Tritium to be of any use. It really makes me second guess having it at all, because if it is dark enough for Tritium, it is probably too dark to clearly identify your target and what is beyond it.

OK now skimmed through the article. I have painted front sights for years with special thick green fluorescent paint made for that. It has always helped me. I too have an RX P320 with the lighted RMR style optic. The optic takes sight alignment out of the equation. For those like me that really should be wearing glasses, that is an excellent way to go.
