I am considering additional holster options for an M&P Shield.

In addition to IWB carry, I would like an OWB carry holster option.

What is the lowest profile, most concealable, ride tight against the body holster out there for a gun the size of the shield?

Leather or Kydex doesn't matter but I lean towards leather.

I have looked at the various belt slide holsters but maybe there is something even more concealable out there. Any have any specific suggestions?

Thanks!

The only thing I've found in my experience is that holster selection is greatly dependant on body type and preferred carry location (3:00, 4:00, etc.). I have more holsters than I know what to do with.

Provide a few more details, such as body clock preferred location, right hand, left hand. Sometimes you can get by with production grade, sometimes you need to go semi- or custom.

I plan to carry strong side on my hip.

I am right handed, 5 "8", 150 lbs, very medium build.

Most kydex rigs out there tend to stick out a bit, especially on a thin profile framed body. Bravo Concealment makes a lower profile kydex rig called the Range Time Tactical model (RTT). You may look into leather, or a hybrid that uses a leather backer and kydex shell for the pistol. What sort of budget are you looking at?

Someone recommended to me raven concealment. Also shadow holsters on here which I believe is very similar. He is a dealer on here. I have one ordered right now actually

I really don't have a set budget.

I am really looking for low profile, concealable as possible OWB rig.

I like my JM Custom quite a bit.  It's about as minimalist as you can get while still being very strong and trustworthy.

Don Hume makes a great quality, less expensive leather belt holster

Look at Kramer (the Belt Scabbard Gun Holster model) or TT Gunleather (several good choices but I'm itching to try the Snap Removable Pancake DDOO model). They both make real good quality OWB holsters for the Shield.

Seriously, check out JM Custom kydex.

OWB version 1 or version 2 should be what you're looking for. Lead time says 9-10, but mine arrived right at the 7 week mark. YMMV

The Galco Concealable might be a good option for you. I really liked mine. It was extremely comfortable and concealed very well.

Call me old school, but for OWB I like the "Cuda" made by "Simply Rugged."  Good old pancake design, well built, and, well, rugged.  A good value that conforms to my waistline and conceals nicely.
