I voted for the Insight m3X, even though I have the regular m3 model. It works, and I've had it for 8 years with no issues. It's not the best out there by far, but I don't see a good reason to get a new one when this one works fine.

Sure in the hell it aint the APL . until they fix the mounting system.

I would say the X300 I because it fits 4inch and under better.
Surefire is the best period. And if the ultra worked well with my P30 I would use it

I run a TLR-1. so far it has worked but taking it apart it sure looks cheap.

This.  Hands down the best handgun light I've ever used.

I compared the TLR1 HL to the Surefire 300X Ultra or whatever it was called.
I liked the tint, the switch, and the price better on the TLR1...I had a hard time deciding which "beam" was better...I liked them both plenty.
That said, I've heard from people who mod lights that the inside of the SF lights are over-built and rugged...but going on 5 years of various TLRs and I've never had an issue.

I only have experience with the TLR-1, but I'm very happy with it for a handgun light.  Not convinced its the best option for rifle mount though.
For handgun its great.  price is hard to beat over it's Surefire counterpart.

My favorite weapon light is the WL1-AA.  It doesn't weigh much (about 3oz) and provides an ample amount of light (150 lumens) for a reasonable amount of time (90 minutes on Lithium’s).  I’m not Mil/LE and these numbers are plenty for whatever I would be doing with a weapon mounted light.  It does this on readily available AA batteries which gives me a depth of resource I like.

When I took these pictures Eneloop batteries were good for about 1000 charges so this was the functional equivalent of 12,000 batteries.  The Eneloops sold today are good for 2100 charges which would equate to 25,200 AA batteries.  I paid about $80.00 for the solar charger.

Light for life.

Since I`m retired I care more about my light that's on my handgun more than my carbine.

I'm more likely to be carry / using my handgun even at home since it sits on my night stand. Although I do  have a carbine loaded with 50gr TSX near by my bed with a cheap G2 incandescent 65Lumen ( under 3000rds fired and still using the stock bulb)

Like I said in my other post = I hate the mounting system on the APL. Other than that the APL is better made than my TLR-1 300L

I see lots of guys voted that there favorite is the TLR-1?  I wonder if Surefire was the same price or lower if there story would change.

Pretty darn good for its size. Perfect for 25 yards or so.

Streamlights of any flavor.  Price to quality ratio is awesome.

I do like surefires too, but so far, I'd buy a streamlight if I needed another light.

Streamlight TLR-1S.  The battery compartment is better than the Surefire, no under-slung cotter pin. Shorter, more affordable, reliable. Yes, Surefire needs to lower their prices.

I bought my TLR-1 around the first of the year it is doing fine and doesn't pop off the rail while doing drills.

I truly wish you guys would email surefire and ask them for a compact pistol light that's no less than 200L
