Not sure I understand what you mean by "military style thigh holster".... Most of the folks I know down range that are using thigh holsters are using either the Safariland 6004 platform or the Blackhawk CQC Serpa drop holster platform...

OP, Safariland makes a 6004 (which is considered the top end drop leg holster on the market) for a P220
Model Number 6004-77-121 http://www.safariland.com/DutyGear/product.aspx?pid=6004 G Code also makes P220 holsters in their XST, OSH, and (possibly as they list P226) SOC lines. You can attach the holster bodies to the REAC drop platform. Either directly attached, or if you want to be able to swap holsters out on their platform, with the RTI attachments. C Gode holsters G Code Drop Leg Platforms and Accessories Those are going to be the 2 best quality options out there. You could also go with the Serpa http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/3-0631354 But I'm wary of them due to their track record, but they are slightly cheaper than some options. There's also the Sig/iTac Defense drop legs, but I know nothing about them iTac P220 Holster iTac Drop Leg Platform If you do decide on a drop leg, do some googling on how to wear them. You'll see dudes wearing them around their knees and flopping around. They really should be as high as possible and use only 1 strap. |

Go with G Code! I have the XST for my 1911 high cap and swear by it! Do some research and there is a coupon code: sootch00
Here is mine:
I didn't go with a thigh rig though. Here is the video on the Sig line: Sig holsters |

Hey, thanks for all the replies. Good stuff. Just what I was looking for. Much appreciated, and yes I know what you mean about guys wearing them around their knees. Looks very silly.

Peck, just stumbled on the Spartan Village brand of holsters over on Soldier Systems
Their Mid-Ride rigs look like a great solution, and they make them to fit the Sig 220 http://spartan-village.com/Sig-Sauer-Mid-Ride.html ![]() |

I like that drop leg holster. But $110 for a kydex holster, two quality buckleys, some nylon, and an absolutely awful looking belt rig has me hesitant....
