Prvi Partizan 38 Special 158 Grain LRN

$13.90/50

In stock as of 5/4/09

These days, it's a deal especially considering that the new going rate for basic calibers at Natchez and elsewhere seems to be $16.99 and up.  Give it time, the bubble will pop.  For now, though, this ain't too bad.

If you want to pay 18.99 for Win 50 white box for .38 Special there's that at Midway.

On a serious note Midway has Black Hills .45 FMJ for $41 and 9mm FMJ/EXP JHP for $26/28.  This is pretty expensive but Black Hills is good stuff.

Boxes or cases?

It's hardly worth messing ordering 100 rounds.

Just boxes, unfortunately.  I was ordering some other stuff from them, and checked ammo just for shits and grins.  I was surprised to see 9mm in stock, so I tried to order 10 boxes.  Got a message saying two only.  Oh well, I'd rather have those 100 rounds than not have 'em.  I agree, maybe not worth placing an order for just 2 boxes, but somebody who's really running dry might want to.

Wow... sad thing is, I saw your post and went and ordered.  They really do limit you to 2.  I tried some tricks to get around that, but none worked.

THANKFULLY, I am well stocked already.  I'm just buying these 2 boxes to help stem the tide of ammo loss from shooting.

I historically only bought ammo when there was a sale.  But these days, things are much different.  Now I buy it if I find any available.

Now I just need another gun to put it on.

Somebody explain to me why this is so much better than Winchester 115 JHP?

This is figures out to be $450 per k. plus the shipping.  This is not a for sale ad

however I have an extra 4k rounds of winchester and would be happy to give

it up for $400 per K and eat the shipping charges.  What makes the bonded

so much better???

ETA: Mods don't beat on me!!!  I just don't understand the price spread???

Expensive shipping rates and ammo is priced very high.

I paid $369/1000 + $12/case shipping earlier this week on 45ACP/1000 from Palmetto.

That is a good price for PMC bronze. That is more typical of the 200grain Al cases Blazer ammo price.

It's not news that the Local Authorities / Goverment pays less than the civilian market for Ammo, however based on those #'s it doesn't sound good for the rest of us. Those #'s imply that the manufacturers have raised the prices. I paid $190/1000 AE 115g only ~ 3 months back, usually LE / Local Authorities pay ~ 50% the cost of the civilian market.

I missed the Palmetto deal but I got in on the OMB deal.

As high as that price is, it'll likely be gone tomorrow. It's ridiculous, really. I'm just hoping Dick's gets some .45 in Friday, even if I can only get 5 boxes.

I have one reliable source of ammo.  AIMSURPLUS.COM  You need to call AIM and get your order in.  The other thing you can do is monitor AIM's Industry Board on this website.  You tend to get a heads up on availability.  In this ammo market you have to know the game.

AIM is a great source.  Retail stores are hit and miss.  You can't buy 100rds when you want to anymore.  You need to consider 500 or 1000 at a time when you can get it from a bulk supplier
