That looks like a steal
View Quote

I ordered two boxes of 147gr HST from GT Distributers. The usually bright nickel cases were so dull they almost looked like aluminum. I have bought a lot of HST and never seen this.
I suspect these are seconds or old ammo or both.

I got a box from SG a while that was a little dull but functioned fine.  I believe some of these are law enforcement returns so they may not look factory-fresh.

In fairness to GT dist. The ammo is only six weeks old. I talked to Federal today and sent them pics. They said they would get back to me. I am sure they will function fine but I'm going to shoot them at the range and get some more to carry.

I was just curious why they looked that way. I had never seen that with HST before.

Looking at those casings, they aren’t as shiny as our nickel casings in the past but this will not affect, accuracy, functioning or performance whatsoever.   That's all they said.

Dang, that $23 a box delivered from Striecher's last month was the best.  I got my HST in 357 Sig last week for $22/delivered.  May not see that again.

Massammo has 147g & 124g back in stock (cases)

I had never ordered from them before till I saw them mentioned in this thread..  Picked up a case of 147 HST a few weeks ago and was impressed..  $470 + $12 flat rate shipping...  Was shipped fast - packaged well still in the factory case (inside another box with padding)...  Was the first time I ordered from them - wished I had gotten more

Didn't make that mistake this time
Picked up a few orders....

They bought some Homeland Security 155 grain 40 S&W HST.  It's dirt cheap here.

yeah, mass ammo has been good to me thus far. Be aware that some of the products may not come in the original packaging, unless it's shown in the picture. So for example, I purchased some .223 federal fusion when they had 200 rnd ammo cans of it. The price on the product was the cheapest I'd ever seen, $80/200, and it came in a steel ammo can, with flat rate shipping regardless of order size. Product comes, everything is looking good, but rounds are solely on plastic retainers in the can, no cardboard, and one round is missing. Some people didn't like that, I don't give two shits and appreciate the value they gave me.

MASS AMMO 147 gr. 50/box $24.50
or 1000 round case for $460
Shipping is $12.99 or free depending on quantity.  I believe two 1000 round cases of the HST 147 is free shipping.
I have placed several orders from Mass Ammo and have not been disappointed in the service or shipping.

The 147 gr. is also in stock at SGAmmo and Ammunition Depot.

Case for $435 plus shipping, shipping to CA was $20 bucks, that works out $0.455 a round shipped.

I'm going to post this twice., here and in the deals thread

Bone Frog Gun Club has Federal HST 9mm P9HST1 (124 gr std. press.) and P9HST2 (147gr. std. press.) for $415/1000 rounds + shipping.  I'm a die hard SGAmmo fan, but honestly, this is some of the best pricing I have seen lately.  I have bought from Bone Frog in the past and they are gtg.

Yeah, I read your thread and I was surprised to see what happened to you.  I have not gotten any HST from BFGC (I have been ordering the 5.56 Hornady T2 from them), and most of the HST I have is from SGAmmo.  I have shot almost 300 rounds out of my Shield and QC10 SBR, and I did not see what you experienced.  I haven't shot any of the T2 I got from BFGC, but I'll be on the look out for any oddities.  The T2 I bought from them was $0.75/round, and competitors are almost always above $1.20/round.  I'm hoping there's no monkey business going on, but buying in 200 round cases, they appear to be sealed in Hornady original packaging..

If you can get a lot number from the inside flap of the box I can see if I have some of the same stuff and I can do a comparison using my Glock 43. If I have the same lot and it is the ammo, I should be able to duplicate the results.

Federal HST 147 grain for $430 at MassAmmo
The 147 grain +P are the same price and shipping is a flat $12.99 for your order.
The individual boxes of 147 grain standard are $22.50 each.  If you click on the link it takes you to a page that says they are not available.  Click on the "Buy Now" button and it will add to the cart.  I bought 5 boxes using the buy now button when it said they were not available and they shipped the next day.
I've always had fast shipping with Mass Ammo.
