Yes. The bullet looked like all the others, just in a brass case.

Looks like it's marked FC NT for Federal Non-Toxic. Likely a case used in their fragmentation/no lead ammo that got kicked into a hopper of the nickel plated stuff somehow.

It happens. Components are kept, transported and loaded into the machinery in big bins and hoppers. Every so often something from a previous batch gets left behind. I've seen a few examples of this over the years. A few years ago, someone got a cool new Russian military head stamp that no one had seen before in a box of commercial 7.62x39mm. Same thing, was likely stuck In a bin from a previous contract...
