I came across some Federal aluminum case 9mm 115 gr FMJ today. I've got a solid stockpile of range ammo but bought a few boxes because it was cheap. Even cheaper than the nasty Tula on the same shelf. I used to shoot Blazer regularly and never had issues but haven't seen any in a few years.

Anyone trued the Fed aluminum case ammo?

It's my favorite plinking ammo, just bought 10 boxes from wall  mart yesterday. They had like 20, but I didn't want to horde all of it. No issues with it at all through  my M&P9 FS or Sig P226 and they appear to be loaded pretty hot, which I like.

No problems in about 300 rounds through several Glocks, mostly my 19.

I was pleased with it when I tried it, I shot off about 150 rounds without issues.  Seems to be the replacement for the Blazer aluminum cased, maybe they kicked that over to the Federal Champion line as they're both ATK products.

I've only shot 3 boxes of it so far, but it's been 100% reliable.  I used to shoot CCI blazer a lot back in the 90's.  Never had a problem with it.  I still even have some CCI 357 stashed away.

I have run 1500+ through my 17/19/34, Sig 228, M&P 9 9c, HK P7 and I use the 45 in my 1911's

Good stuff if you do not reload.  When I see it at wally world I usually buy out all they have.

25 years ago, I would not have used it. It would choke a lot of guns. They have refined it now that it runs just fine in guns.
I have had no problems with the stuff bought over the last year. I find it loaded a little hotter than Remington 115 FMJ.

I shoot this stuff quite often and have never had a problem from any of my 9mms.

I pick up a couple boxes every payday. So far good stuff, no issues in CZ75. Some will say the aluminum cases will cause the sky to fall, but that's true with anything "different", I guess. Seems to be a Walmart exclusive, haven't seen it anywhere but there.

Good stuff in 9mm and .45 in my experience. Seems to be loaded hotter than other practice ammo. Wish my Wally World would let you buy ten  boxes at a time.

I just finished off my first 500 rounds of it. It ran 100%. I also agree that it's loaded a bit hotter than other 115gr plinking ammo.

The stores around here have no limits on anything but rimfire.

It's been fine for me. Helluva deal for 9.99 can't beat it. Bought 300 rounds last night actually. They had another 250 on the shelf for I left some for the next guy. I hope they make a similar variety for 45 in the 30/100 price range

They have them for .45 and .40 I don't remember the cost off the top of my head though.

I ran my first 100 rounds through a Sig P226 yesterday. I had 1 Failure to fire, it sorta looked like a light primer hit but I wish I had compared it to some fired cases. Didn't even occur to me.

Finslayer83 and I have shot piles of their .45 ammo without issues, through his TRP, my Colt Combat Elite & Detonics Combat Master, and a S&W E-Series I used to own. Good stuff, and cheap.

Interesting I've never seen it at my Walmart. I'll have to look closer

I have shot it in a few guns with no issues, have also shot the 45 with the same results.

I've shot it out of my EVO, M&P and Baby Desert Eagle. All of them ran fine with it. Good velocity too.

Shot about 10K of the Blazer about ten years ago through a Glock 19.   4 rounds had dud primers.

I've shot probably 2,000 round of 9mm and 7-800 of .45 and it has all worked fine. It's not too dirty and I love that I don't have to pick up the "brass" at the range.

There have been a couple threads about it already.

It's good stuff, especially for it's price, and it is actually loaded a bit on the hot side.

I've put a bunch of it through my Walther P99s with no issues at all.

CCI's aluminum cased handgun ammo has been around for nearly four decades now (if not longer). Federal's Champion alum cased ammo is just CCI Blazer with a different headstamp.

I've been shooting Blazer for 30 years in every caliber with the exception of .32 ACP and 45 Colt.  Never had a ammo related problem. Still sitting on 4K of the stuff in 9mm.
