What does anyone know about Remington HTP 180 grn. SJHP? Was considering using as a hunting round. FWIW, it's .357.

Quick search tells me it's just repackaged Express ammo. If you've had good luck with Remington Express .357 Mag, it should do just fine.

It's old school HP ammo. Not horrible, but better out there. For a hunting round, you may get more penetration, with a little less expansion you are going to have. Deer, or piggies?

No rifles up there (common place in a lot of Northern states)? What distance are you going to use it at? A 180 is pretty heavy for a .357, so I would tend to think you might get some decent energy out of it, if the speed is there.

Checked ballistics and that particular load is pushing at less 1200 fps. I'm having my doubts.
