bought a couple boxes of Fiocchi  115gr 9mm and it was really good accuracy wise but seemed a little low on power compared to other 115gr offerings. Is this common?

Was it substantiated or were you using the mkI hand-o-meter to gauge power?  I agree on accuracy but in my experience fiocchi has generally been hotter than most bulk ammo, esp the .357s

Check the box.  Was it manufactured in Italy, USA, Hungary, or the European Union?

I concur that 9mm FMJ 115gr packs a punch.

"Feel" is absolutely the worst way rate ammo.  Too many powder profiles to feel on it.

I was using the scientific hand meter  to compare felt recoil with the S&B 115gr ammo I was also shooting. Plus the ejection was weaker with the Fiocchi.  The ammo was made in Italy.

The US-made XTP ammo is WAY weaker.

I chronographed the 9mm 115 XTP's going about 1050FPS from a 4" and 4.4" barrel.   .40 caliber 155 XTP's going about 1025FPS froma  4.4" barrel.

The Overseas made Fiocchi on the other hand has always cooked pretty hard when I have shot it.

Their .357 mag ammo with a 140 gr bullet is hot stuff!    It runs faster than some USA production 125 gr stuff

I shoot regular 124gr ball loads instead of the military Ball

Mil 124gr Ball is hotter than the commercial  124gr Ball .

Speer Lawman 124gr is around 1090 fps and is soft shooting and wont wear out my pistol as fast

I've shot many thousands of rounds of Italian made Fiocchi 115 grain FMJ and have found it to be extremely accurate and full powered.

Yes, especially in, .45ACP .40S&W and .357Sig. The .357Sig ammo is some of the hottest I know for that particular caliber... Fiocchi with their 170 grain .40S&W ammo, it's almost uncomfortable to shoot it's so damn hot. I love that though. Because then I load 180 grain Federal HST's up at 1000 fps and they feel like a 9mm Nato round out of a Beretta 92FS...

180gr HST is soft shooting in my P229 . However I don't care for the  Impulse  my HK P30S has when shooting 147gr HST

I bought some 170Gn 40SW ammo from them many years ago that was loaded to 1270FPS MV.  Ouch! More "powerfull" than my factory .357 mag and 10mm ammo at the time.

They have lowered the velocity over the years. its was 1270 when they first released it. its down to 1200 or 1150 now IIRC.

170Gn at 1270FPS in a Glock 23 will make a 9mm lover out of most 40SW shooters, fast.

Using the in-the-hand meter myself, I have always found Fiocchi to be on the hot side but in a good way. Also, I find it to be relatively accurate for a factory load. Good stuff.
