Got home yesterday and sitting on the porch was a case of 9MM Federal HST 147 grain ammo. This is 1000 rounds.
I have been waiting for this on back order for over a month now.
IMHO it's the best self defense ammo on the market in any caliber. YMMV

Not in stock now, but "ammunition depot".
They
Had it listed on website and I ordered over a month ago or longer
I got an email shortly saying it was out of stock and they oversold and I would get the next batch in, I agreed and said ship when you can and forgot about it.
And a month or maybe almost two it just showed up. I'm happy.
Can't remember the price but I think it was $26.95 or $28.95 a box plus shipping.

nice score. I've had some on backorder from Striechers for over a month now and might have to try another source. I'm down to two boxes.

Is that some sort of Home Run Pie in the top right of the first pic?  It looks like an apple Home Run Pie package, but the font or characters don't match.

Nice ammo, never shot it, or seen it, ever.  I'm sure it's good though.  Everyone here wants it, so I assume it's awesome.  Must be neat to just up and get 1000 rounds on your doorstep like that when you've been waiting for so long.

But can you tell me what the different is of  HST and HTP???
Just got 1000 a few weeks ago. (Over paid, my fault should of shopped more)
They are what I wanted 147 JHP (subsonic) An before I know better, priced right!!!
Can you post a picture of your  HST HP. Would like to see if there is much differences?

You got burned buddy. HTP is rebranded Remington UMC JHP. Cheaper stuff than Golden Saber, and expect performance similar to what you pay for. Nowhere on the same league of HST, Gold Dot, or Winchester Ranger when firing through windshield glass (carjacking/driveway ambush) or heavy denim (self-explanatory).

Stash it for when the good stuff runs out or resell it and then look for something on "The List" for first line use.

Not me I don't like the  impulse of the standard pressure HST 147gr loads in my P30S

I would never thought it would have more recoil than my P229 40S&W / 180gr HST

So Im stuck with the easy to find loads like 124gr HST , Gold Dot 124 ,

Although not on the list. Doc said he would have a problem using those 2 above loads.

I'm confused, I cant tell a difference in firing the 147 and the 124 HST, But that's just me.YMMV
Ask a 100 people and you get a 100 different answers on the best ammo.
Myself now I get what law enforcement and FBI suggest.
My philosophy is load heavy for caliber.

Nice! I'd certainly be comfortable with that in my EDC.
Is there a particular reason why you went with the non-bonded? For clarity, I understand the bonded vs non-bonded debate just curious what swayed you.

I can tell a difference between standard pressure 124gr and 147gr loads .
Could be because I'm sensitive .
I have arthritis. Decades of shooting and using my hands.

I like heavy calibers also  that why I use / used 180gr HST in my soft shooting P229 40 S&W.  148grWC in 38spl/M642

But for the 9mm Service Pistol I prefer 124gr +P or a standard pressure 124gr load IF it gives good performance .  HST 124gr
I also like the extra slide velocity . aids in reliability / feeding.

BTW NONE of the 9mm HST loads Fully pass ALL the FBI Barriers according to ATK owns testing.

I still prefer my P229 40S&W 180 HST /Ranger 180B

Why would you need that much ammo? No one needs that much ammo. You should feel guilty for your opulent and greedy ways.

I'll IM you my address so you can assuage your guilt.
