This is one of the reasons that Speer 124 gr +P Gold Dot is my carry ammo.  I can always find it.

I have scoured the internet for this exact load. It doesn't exist. Unattainium would be easier to find.

Just put some on back order at Streichers. People claim that you will have the stuff within a month.

I figured that would be the case. I put some on BO the other day since I'm down to 100rds. Oh well, I ran enough through my new pistol to make sure it was reliable with it and I guess I can wait until whenever it arrives.

The 124 +P HST loading is the one that is on "the list".

Do we know if the 124grn HST or 147grn +p HST were tested? IIRC that's why they aren't on "the list".

The 147 HST has been my carry load for the last 5 years or so.  Stocked up on about 200 rounds from Streichers last year.   Why has this load gotten so popular all the sudden?   I mean yea it's an awesome load but did everyone just find out this year or something?

All the HST loads are good.   I would not hesitate with the 124 gr.   I carry the 180 gr in .40.   Man you should see the hole that stuff punches.  The 230 gr .45 is also extremely impressive.

HST in 147 has always been kind of hard to find, 124gr seemed like it was easier.  I saw this ammo shortage coming and managed to stock up 2,000 rounds for a rainy day (got a hell of a deal on it from a buddy).

P938 124gr HST Gel Test

This guy does an FBI protocol gel test on the HST 124gr standard pressure out of a P938.  Results are impressive.  Looks good for short barrels.

I use the 124 HST in my P30S

I've talked to Dr. Roberts about it and he says there no issue.  Its only 50feet slower than the 124+P

And penetrates further than 124+P HST in Bare Gel.

Good thing for me here in SWF when everyone wears Ts hirts !

147 and 124 +P HST
Even according to ATK own gel testing none of the HST 9mm loads fully passed ALL there barrier test.

Word!

I don't like the recoil impulse when shooting the 147gr loads in my P30
And hate the 147 loads.

But on the other hand I  do like heavy bullets and use 180gr HST in my P229.  P229 is 32 oz. and makes for mild recoil compared to my P30S 9mm and using147gr loads.

I tend to use SD that know one really likes!
124 HST  50FPS slower than 124+P HST
Federal 124 Bonded
Remington Golden Saber 124 +P bonded  that's under 1200 fps
Speer  124 & 124+P GD

Haha up here in Alaska we can't mail order ammo because there's only like 2 websites that will and the shipping is outrageous. AnyhowI recently discovered a police supply store and they had a 20 foot shelf devoted entirely to Gold Dots. I felt like a kid in a freaking candy store LOL. I bought 100 rounds of 230 gr GDs and next paycheck I'm going to go back for some 9mm 147 grs and 223 55grs.

I picked up 4 from SGAmmo as well. I got the email earlier today and immediately went to their website and it said sold out. I checked back 2 mins later and they had 150 boxes left so I jumped on it....they sold that out in less than 10 mins. The email said they sent out like 730 emails and only had 160 boxes available. 147gr HST is the hot shit right now for sure
