I just got a new beretta m9a1 for christmas and i was checking it out the other day and dry firing when i noticed sometimes in double action the hammer doesn't fall all the way. it will fall to the half cock position, is this a common problem or is there an easy fix for this?

When I was going gunsmith work for military that problem would get a new hammer, sear, and transfer bar. But then parts were free and reworks cost money. Also check the spring tension on mainspring. Any doubt is would get one of those also.

Well.. if it is new; get it factory refurbished (they can and will thrown parts at it to get it back to the customer).

Just got my gun back from beretta, they stated that for repair they replaced the trigger bar and hammer. Just for future reference for anybody who may have the same problem.
