My Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm, a Father's Day gift this year from the wife and kiddos!  Photographed with my PSA Freedom Series AR-15 (5.56)... which I also got this year from my wife for our Anniversary.  I've been blessed beyond my deserving!  Hope you all have a great day!

In the last 50 pages I have not seen this, but... Does anyone make grip tape cut for just the frontstrap of a full size M&P 9?

I'm not aware of any precut in that shape/size, but you can buy 3M anti skid tape at Lowes and cut it to whatever shape/size you want.

Here's what I do.
1. place painters tape on gun
2. draw out line/shape of grip area
3. remove tape and place tape on rough side of grip tape
4. cut grip tape according to tape outline
5. stick cut grip tape to gun
6. enjoy

It's a cheap way to keep the gun put in my hand during recoil.  I apologize if it looks really ghetto.  But really, a LOT of people do SOMETHING to their polymer guns to help make them more grippy and in my mind, this is cheap, and it works.  And I don't really see a downside other than you could argue they could ride around and somehow interfere with either seating a mag or the mag catch.  But I don't really think that's going to happen.  Now, if I were about to take a class with it....  I'd probably still try it and see if it gave me problems.  I'd probably twist them on a little tighter too, to make sure they really stay put well.

I'm not completely sure why we don't see it more often.  It just seems like the easiest way to deal with it.  You can go buy a hogue one and put it in warm water and spend your time wiggling it on.  And those CAN get in the way of your mag catch.  I had to do a cut out for the one I put on my G19.  $20 compared to aaaaaah, I don't even know how much a rubber band costs....

Anyways....

THIS GRIP TAPE actually looks identical to the TALON Rubbery grip tape.  You can cut it yourself.  I may give it a shot.

I must be nuts because I think the rubber bands look better that that grip tape stuff.  Makes it look like.....  like it's got moss growing on it or something.  LOL.   A chia pet.

And finger grooves don't always line up well.  I see that Pachmyr has one w/o finger grooves.  Cooooool.

Try a more diffused or soft light instead of direct light. Place a thin sheet or parchment paper between the light and gun, or bouncing the light off something solid like white foam core. Been there

The light source in those pics were sunlight through our skylights. I don't really have a way to diffuse the light. Plus, I'm not in to photography enough to get into all of the equipment.
