Is that a custom RCS Vanguard?  I've seen something similar for a Sig 239.

Yes, it was a prototype Vanguard by RCS.

After seeing your Shield with the grip tape, I set up my Shield identical to the full-size M&P you have shown here. Thanks for sharing the pics and info. The addition of grip tape to my Shield's slide, fixed for me the one major issue I had with such a great little pistol.

Do you have a truglo tfo as well? I filled mine with a few gobs of super glue. Was kinda worried after seeing a few reports of em falling out.

No night sights...yet. But that's probably going to be my next addition. Added Talon grips though, gotta love those!

Is it just the picture angle, or does that holster leave the trigger exposed?

It's because of the light flare, but it does look a little low cut doesn't it...

Yeah, I know that the clearance for the light will leave a gap around the trigger, but all of mine still come up higher than the trigger.  Maybe it's just the angle, but that one looks like it's cut way lower.

Its the angle and that I have an x300 ultra on during that picture, holster is for x300... Which I have on now and it does fit better.

Thank you I thought they went well togeather also.

That early revolver is very special to me, I feel lucky to have it.  It was my moms service pistol, she used it back in the early and mid 80s.

Great to have those reminders of our family.  I have my Step Dad's Model 19 that was his CHP service revolver.

That's the first time I think I've seen target grips on a model 10.  Although I don't know if your's is pre model 10 or not.  But you probably get what I mean.  They look nice on there.  I think my holy grail handgun is a Victory with a 1917 in a close second.  But I want a Victory more.  I saw one in a gun store a couple of months ago.  But they wanted 2K for it.  I thought that was steeeeep.

That is very nice looking revolver. 357 sweet, and the history with it.  Thats cool.  I bet it is nice to shoot.

Victory is bucks but i didnt know they were that much.  Now that I think about it i does make sense unfortunatly.

I didn't think Victory's were that much either.  I thought it was way too steep.  But then again, anything WWII has gone through the roof in the last 10 years.

Thanks for the compliment on the 19.  Yeah she shoots wonderful.  I love shooting double action.  It's kind of a newer thing to me.  I used to think it was crazy to have to make such a long pull.  As I started out with single action autos.  Well actually my first centerfire was a revolver but I always shot it single action and them moved onto autos rather quickly.  Now I've come full circle really like working on double action .

My first M&P. Picked up this LE trade in on Friday with 2 magazines and all three backstraps. $315 out the door. There is not a mark on it aside from the base plates scuffed up and a little wear on the barrel hood. I believe its a 2009 model by the serial #. Night sights glow OK. Have a 10-8 rear sight on the way.
