It was a buddy of mines who had the slide work done locally and he installed the APEX trigger kit. I did the stippling to cover up the stippling he had done I did not like and I glass beaded and blued the pimp barrel. I was going to leave in natural FDE but have no plans of selling it so I went the poser route on the finish but I like it like that lol. Here is the old stipple job:

After a couple trips to the range and 200rds... the improved shooting and 8+1 in a small package, makes me a big fan.

Finally got my my Performance Center CORE. It's not that big of a deal to most but being in commiefornia it's a bit of a hassle to get. I installed a Apex trigger. Not because the the PC trigger was bad but I wanted all my M&Ps to have the same set up. My Standard 9mm and .45 both have Apex triggers. I also received my PC .40 long slide kit

Here is a pic of my small S&W family.

I had been looking at M&Ps for a while, as I have a APEX DCAEK in my Shield-9 I carry, and figured if I could get a full size with a trigger like that it'd be great. I have a P226 that's my favorite, but it was a gift from my wife and I didn't really want to modify it much. So I had gone to find a M&P 2.0 locally, but came across a deal on a M&P Pro 5" model that was too good a price to refuse. I put the APEX FSS kit into it, Ameriglo Hackathorns (same as on my Shield), talon granulate grips and a TLR-1 HL w/ pressure switch. It's nothing short of awesome, so easy to shoot, tears one large ragged hole at 10 yards with a magazine. Bonus, my wife can actually shoot it if the small backstrap is on it (also why I didn't get the straight trigger, she wouldn't have been able to reach it comfortably). Easily my new favorite gun, can't wait to go to the outdoor range and shoot at steel.

So now I have a M&P 5" with TLR-1 HL and 35 rounds of 124gr +P gold dots ready, instead of the Shield-9 with a handheld light.

Might have slightly blinded myself testing out the TLR-1 HL....
