I just inherited my grandfather's revolver.  I don't know for sure but it appears to be a 1905 Hand Ejector (4th change) but could be wrong.  It is chambered in .32-20.  It has a large half-moon front sight and the ejector rod has a spring detent capture.  The serial number is 528xx.  Can anyone give me an idea of year of manufacture and confirm what model it is.

This gave me a chance to try out my new 4th edition Standard Catalog of S&W.

According to the book you have a .32-20 Hand Ejector Model of 1905 3rd change. Serials ran from 45,201 to 65,700 and were manufactured 1909 to 1915. I expect yours is from around 1910.
