I looking to buy a MP shield in 45acp, but I'm not sure if I want it with a safety or not.......This will be my CCW # 1 carry. I'm leaning toward with safety.....Thank you.

Don't need or want a safety with carry gun  Having said that with the Shield you can just keep it in the off position  its not easily engaged

No safety for CC. It serves no purpose, but to be another failure point.

Yeah no safety for me, keep it simple, just draw and shoot

Whatever you can find at a price you like.  The safety can always be ignored.

Safeties are a personal thing. I won't have a carry gun without a safety. But I've been carrying 45ACP 1911s for over 20 years now so the safety is not an issue for me. It's ingrained in my training and manual of arms with the 1911s.

My shield has the safety.  Coming from carrying 1911s it doesnt bother me one bit.  I carry my xds more than my shield but having the safety wont affect you one bit if you train with it.

On a Shield I much prefer the safety model. Extra insurance against ND's when holstering. Very small and unobtrusive if you don't need it.

This right here.  The trigger on the Shield is about perfect for the type of gun it is and that safety is like a Tic-Tac... Try manipulating that under stress.

No safety, get a good kydex holster and actually train.

no safety, however if I was appendix carrying, probably would want the extra femoral artery protection.

I chose with a safety because I didn't know how I would carry it.

I decided to still carry 4/5 o clock.

I still like the safety fine.

Whatever you decide it may be worth noting the safety on the 45 Shield is much more usuable than on the 9/40 Shield.  It's just a tad larger and easier to swipe with your thumb.

I just got a shield 45 for my CCW and when I was looking for one I wanted one with a safety because the way I saw it is that I could choose to use it or not to. But if you train with the safety on it becomes second nature to take it off before shooting.
