Buddy has an m&p9 with a mag disconnect.

Wants to install an Apex sear and wondering if we should remove the mag disconnect while we're at it
- any downsides to eliminating it?
- what's the proper method for removal / elimination?

That part is only necessary if you want to save the sear release thingy. If you think you are safe from the error of pulling the trigger on a loaded chamber when you are disassembling the gun, then just pull the pin out and dump all those parts in the trash.

This.

Except maybe a zip lock baggy instead of the trash.

That said, I can't see myself ever putting the parts back in, ever.

I've removed a bunch. It's easy.
