I've had my Shield since they first came out.  While at the range yesterday, first the left rear dot disappeared, followed by the right rear.  After the 8th mag, the front dot vanished.  I repaired them with white nail polish.  Anyone else have that issue?

Yes.  They are filled too shallowly any how.  Mine are only back in awaiting a HiViz set that properly zeros the gun. I filled mine level with several layers of nail polish.

A bea'ach to do once they get close to level.

my father's shield did the same thing.

He bought it when it had only been out about a week.

put some night sights on it
eta: although the nail polish looks great

Yep, nail polish works fine.

Had that happen on my full size M&P9. Good excuse for new sights.

Happened to the rears on my 45compact.  My Shield has night sights, so no worry there.

My front fell off and I used some neon orange nail polish, common issue I guess

I friend of mine had just received his new 9mm Shield, he asked if he could borrow a few rounds of Winchester 9mm 127 gr +P+ to fire through it.

First round launched the front white dot.

My Shield did the same, I called Smith and they sent new sights. I didnt pot them on as they were just the same thing, Red Hi Viz on the front and blacked out the rear. Love it.

Mine came out of my M&P45 but it was my own fault.  I took a white crayon and jammed it into each dimple. It works great.

I lost the dot on my first shield. I fixed it with white nail polish and a clear coat. Didn't have any issue after that. Haven't lost the dot on my second shield... yet anyways.

I haven't had it happen on my shield yet but I have had it happen on multiple other pistols

Yes, the front dot fell of during the first magazine through our Shield 40.

Painted it, and it's been fine ever since.......

The dot on my front sight was rattling around in the box when I picked it up from the FFL.  I never even been fired, except at the factory.

Had preordered the shield when it was coming out and had this happen within the first couple mags. Called Smith and sent the slide back and they replaced them without question. It now wears Mepro's but I have 4 other M&Ps and haven't had problems with them.

I filled mine in with orange nail polish and I am even happier now.
