I just won a 1086 off gunbroker. One of the rarest models.

The 1026 is harder to find and the 1046 is near impossible since 180 or so were made.

Congrats!  That's an awesome collection you're building!

I picked up a 1076 a couple years ago and sent it straightaway to S&W so they could do a complete check-up & tune-up on it.  I had them replace the night sights as well, so now I probably have more into the gun than I could ever get back out; prob $1300 or so.  The up-side of sending it to them was they sent me back a free magazine.

I only want one other to complete my 'collection' (I'm not a collector) and that's the 1026.  Same as the 1076 but with a longer barrel.  There's no WAY I'll pay the gunbroker going rate for one though, so unless one pops up locally, it'll likely never happen.

Now get out and shoot that thing!

Maybe I'll have to actually bump this pistol to the top of the Want List. Mostly Ive been waiting to stumble onto one locally. Finally picked up my 4006 that way this spring. Grabbed it in shop for $359. Appears to have been shot very little.

I've got a 1006 and 4 magazines with it.  I'll be handing that down to my granddaughter or my grandson (if son ever has a boy).  Either way, they will remember their granddad with this keepsake.
