Can someone tell me anything about this .38 Spl? Model, date, etc. I inherited it from my Grandfather and have no idea how new or old it is. I looked online for some way to date the serial, but didn't find anything similar. Any help would be appreciated.

should be stamped on the inside of the crane.
looks like a 36 eta: stamped on the frame under the crane |

If the grips are original and I suspect they are it would be a mid 1960's gun

The grips, if original, should be serial numbered the same as the firearm itself.
