Mine has loosened up a bit with use.
It is still a heavier release than a lot of my other pistols. I tend to slingshot my slides so I don't notice it much. |

Cool, I was just making sure mine didn't have a issue. Do they make extended slide releases for these pistols?

I've never noticed it, as said above, better to "slingshot" the slide.

It isn't a slide release, it is a slide lock. It isn't intended to be used to release a locked slide but instead to lock the slide back. It explains this in the owners manual.

Mine took both thumbs to operate when it was new, now after MANY releases I can do it with one thumb.

When ever the slide stop vs slide release argument comes up.... All I think is
OP it's very stiff out of the box. It should get better with use. |

Two full sized 9's that took two thumbs to release.
Not weird to wonder about it. Never known any other to be that burred inside. It smoothens up, not to the point you want to use it like that ever. I like the slide releasing on a new magazine. Speeds things up. It was originally a malfunction that they changed into a feature and marketed it as such. |
