Looking on Gunbroker under completed auctions it looks like guns in the condition you describe are going for around $1400.00.

Bought it today for $945.00 , Looking it over there isn't even a wear mark on the blued guide rod. Also picked up a set of Herret target stocks for it and a Hensley and Gibbs 4 cavity wadcutter mold for another $45.00. All in all a good day.

My wife shot a Model 52 for a while............. IF you find accuracy off a bit I'd suggest trying a different bullet first.I've seen guns that would not shoot one style of wadcutter very well just be dead nuts accurate with another....particularly bevel base (or double end) vs. hollow base........ best of luck ....... |

Going to cast up bullets from the original owners mold first and hope for the best. By the looks of all the auction items this old guy was OCD as shit so I hope that means he would not keep a mold for boolits that would not shoot.

I think you did pretty well on that gun. Very nice! As you appear to be a reloaded, I'm sure you'll be able to dial that pistol in nicely.

I just bought a 52-2 advertised as LNIB and I paid quite a bit more than you did, but I'm happy if it's as good as it looks. Will pick it up today. Can't wait to get to the range! |
