I bought  a full size 9mm with a safety.  I've decided I don't like it.
I was wondering I I could remove the safety without having any problems.
Would I have to buy different parts, and if so could I buy apex internals and be done.
I don't want to have to sell and buy a different one because I got a pretty good deal on this one.

The safety can be removed, but you will need to get the frame plugs to fill in the void left by safety. If you were here in Phoenix i could have them changed out for you in 10-15 mins.

easy to remove. I've heard that if you contact S&W they will send you the frame plugs for free.

Are the frame plugs cosmetic, or do they serve a purpose?  I can see them keeping dirt out of the gun, but other than that are they needed in some way to support the sear housing?  It doesn't look like it to me.
