I have searched over the conversion thread about swapping barrels in a M&P 40 to convert it to 9mm. I coundnt find if it only works in the M&P or does any other series also allow for this conversion?

I might be able to work a deal on a smith and wesson SD 40, can it be converted with a new barrels/mags to 9mm?
