So I've decided I need an M9A3.  First Beretta.

I can't find info on the variants ... G, etc.  Anyone have any links?

Any recommendations on which variant to get?

Will be a suppressor host and range toy, possible home defense gun but I doubt I'll carry it.

Thanks in advance

G is the one with a decocker and no safety. I think F is the common one, not sure about the others, there used to be a double action only model, not sure if they still sell that

Back to GD with you Penguin

This is the only PDF I've seen on the M9A3.

As far as I know, there are 2 models, safe and decock only.

The G model is decock only, and is what most people are trying to buy.

I know. I just rarely see you leave the confines of GD.

Refers to an universal slide. Meaning can be FS or G.

As HD and the penguin said, the F model has a decock and safety, the G model is decock only. However if you get one and find you'd prefer the other, you can change it.

I, um, err, humbly beg your forgiveness, Oh Mighty Flightless One

Back to OP.  I carry my 92a1 every day. The M9A3 has a slightly longer barrel.
The only reason I wouldn't daily carry an A3 is because of the cost of replacing it
if it was necessary to use it.

M9A3s are great.  I have the F model but want the G model.
I did just purchase the G lever from beretta.
I had a chance to buy a G gun but it only had ten round mags so I passed.
I have a 92a1 worked over by wilson combat.  If I did not have that one the m9a3 would be my favorite.

I own a brand new F model. My local FFL had both kinds but I prefer having the manual safety. I really like the vertec frame. Fits my hand much better

I have both FS and G version of the M9A3.  You can buy a conversion kit that is universal FS to G for $55, $49 for 2 or more.  They do not stay in stock long, I ordered a pair 2 days ago.
