I just recently came to a deal on another forum for a stainless 96 vertec. Im not a huge fan of stainless autos so Im planning on getting it refinished in the future.

99% of the time I will be shooting 9mm with a spare barrel and just save the .40 for woods carry with buffalobores 200 grain load.

So the barrel and contols are/will be black. I just ordered a m9a3 grip from beretta and that is fde. Im on the fence about vertec grips but if I like them then i can use the black or dark wood grips that comes with it.

Im thinking about all black or coyote brown on the frame and fde for the slide. Almost an m9a3 clone.

While we're at it whose your favorite cerokoter? Im also thinking that f I do all black then to melonite the slide instead of cerokote. Hows that sound?

As soon as I figure out my direction then ill be getting a surefire to match if i can sell a few things.

While I would be hesitant to refinish an Inox gun, but that is your gun to do with as you please. If you do get your gun redone there is a guy/ffl on Sig Forum who refinishes firearms at a great price and has a quick turn around (less than x2 weeks-including shipping). I had a pistol redone by him and he uses an epoxy finish that is just as good as cerakote. I was thinking about sending my 92fs to have it redone to match the M9A3 as well.

That blued gun is hot but this one has a stainless slide so thats not going to happen. I understand you can "blue" stainless but its a little pricy.

Ive seen a few ceracoted guns done in "socom blue" and like it a lot to so that might be a possibility.
