Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Beretta 92FS how to remove locking block - never mind-

I just got a Beretta92FS (made in 2014) and could not remove the locking block for cleaning. I tried pushing/wiggling it out but it would not come out.  Do I have to punch out the roll pin in order to remove it?

-update-
Never mind I found the answer to my question.  Seems like the newer 92fs needs the pin removed in order to get the block off.

Why are you removing if just cleaning?  Its not a part to remove for cleaning, is it damaged?
